Do you guys think this would be a good way to share information about the cottage, especially what maintenance needs to be done, taxes paid and who's going there when? We might even spend more time there if we fix it up some. Let me know and I'll add you as a poster. Or if you think it's a waste of time, I'll cancel it. Either way.

i think it is a great idea! it's pretty much like the cottage paper tablet we have except, now, you don't have to be at the cottage to read it! this way, you'll know what to expect before you go.. and, if you're so inclined, you can bring the tools/stuff you need to do some work.
Yes! This is a GREAT idea. Boy, I wish I had more time to get up there!! Maybe now we'll make more time. We can also use this blog to find who is going up there and when. That way we can try to coordinate trips once in awhile. Either way, please let Cal know if you're going because he'll gladly hitch a ride.
Sounds good to me. There's a little 2-year old named Mike Murphy who I want to carry on the Cottage experience. I may have to make some improvements, though, to get Karen up there...no problem By the way, me, karen and Michael are taking a ride up this week, prob wed or thurs..might make up a wish list of possible improvements! Remember the golden rule...always leave beer in the frig
Great Idea. I plan on makin a few trips up to the cabin this year. I figure I'm old enough now to take the initiative to do a lil work around the old place. Nothing I'm not trained for of course... that could be ugly haha... But yea I like the Cabin blog. Also if Cal needs a Canine friend shadow loves the cabin and is very well behaved.
P.S. Reminder: Dont forget the arrival beer haha
if you need any help with work up there just let me know, im more than willing to help out with anything ya need.
I was planning on going up this weekend to turn the water on, but if Uncle Dan is going up, I'm sure he would enjoy climbing under the floor, fighting off the ground hog family, and hooking up the water lines.
I would also like to write in a vote for the latest visitor to the cabin. I vote for SALLY the truck sick beagle.
I love the Cottage Blog Spot, we are soo with the times on this one, if only the Cottage was too. I'm all for helping with repairs, just tell me what I can do to help. I was hoping to head up there sometime this weekend too...probably just for the day, if the weather is nice. Oh, and I'm going to change my vote to SALLY, the only dog in Murphy history that can't handle a car ride...
Oh, and Dad, I have a massive pile of bush remnants in the Church lot that would burn really nicely in the fire pit up there!!
Considering I am the only Murphy that has not been to the cabin this century, and probably would not be able to find it again if I tried, I would be up for making a trip this summer! It has been too long!
As Dad and Danny can attest, I have limited home repair skills. However, I am good at standing around, drinking beer, and telling everyone else what needs to be done!! Just let me know when you need me to coordinate and manage it!
Chris is making his first trip to the cabin this Sunday. Maybe we'll see yinz up there! Hope he can handle a little nature....
hurricane marin will also be making her first trip to the cottage this sunday. and she will work her absolute hardest at trying to destroy everything and anything she can get her hands on.
hope i can handle walking on top of a billion carp...
Karen says we have to wait for a sunny day before we head up North...we could be waitin till the weekend...so Johnny might have to crawl in the dirt after all. My #1 cottage dog is Louie, we saw him chase a rabbit, and a minute later saw the rabbit chasing him! #2 cottage dog is Buster, he would eat anything, dirt, rocks, and one time had a toad bouncing around inside his mouth! #3 Elvis, throwing sticks in the lake...need I say more...a classic dog for kids
